''Pleomele aurea'', the golden hala pepe, is a species of flowering plant that is endemic to the island of Kauai in Hawaii. It inhabits coastal mesic and mixed mesic forests at elevations of . It is a small evergreen tree, usually tall, but sometimes reaches . The gray, straight trunk does not have bark and is in diameter. The sword-shaped leaves are long and wide.
